Testimonials

Upon moving to South Dartmouth a year ago, I learned of the CCNS program through trusted family friends whose child was then, and is now, enrolled at CCNS. I did not know at the time that CCNS enjoyed NAEYC accreditation. To be honest, I do not know what such accreditation involves or provides. The program classrooms and facilities are just perfect - when I first walked into the main classroom, I felt a sense of magic (and I feel that way each time I leave my child at school). It is clear that the teachers have endowed these classrooms (and hallways and bathrooms, etc.) with creativity and imagination - every square inch is a tangible children's paradise. In addition, my child tremendously enjoys playing on the age-appropriate playground, and particularly with the numerous bikes at his disposal. But whatever the NAEYC standards are, I am certain such standards cannot quantify the wisdom and devotion and love of the teachers show my child AND my family.

Of course, if there is opportunity for my child to spend more time at CCNS, I would enroll him without thinking further. I am especially excited to learn of the possibility of a summer program - my child sorely missed his school last summer.

As such, I find CCNS to be the ideal place for my child. Truly, I thank God to have found this school and these teachers. After spending much time in a career prior to having children and at the beginning of my children's lives, I am so grateful to be able to have this opportunity to be a full-time parent. I feel that my child's schooling at CCNS complements my role as a mother and his childhood experience in ways that could not be matched elsewhere, anywhere. I know that they love and care for my child as they would their own, and I will appreciate that for the rest of my life. I have three children, and a fourth arriving soon, and I hope that all of my children may enjoy their early childhood at CCNS - there certainly is no better place to be.

As a graduate of CCNS, and as a mother of a soon-to-be-grad, I cannot say enough good things about CCNS. While there are many terrific preschools in our area, all with different structures, curriculums and enrichment activities, I strongly feel that CCNS offers one of the very best programs available to preschool children. They have created a theme-based curriculum that engages students in all aspects of learning. The level of thought and creativity that goes into the planning of each week's curriculum is evident in the literature they read, the art projects they create, the enrichment activities they expose the kids to, both in and outside the classroom, but most of all in the way they engage the children and help them foster a love for learning. This foundation is crucial for their continued success in grade school. This year my child has come singing African songs of peace and love, has gained a really awesome appreciation for astronomy and checking out the night sky, and he can't stop talking about insects, he's always asking questions about geography and the world, and most of all, he's really developed a heightened sense of self confidence. He loves school, and I know this is because they are great teachers and have done a phenomenal job of capturing his attention and curiosity. I would recommend CCNS to any parent who is looking for a structured, high quality, engaging learning environment for their child to begin their educational journey in.
